I bought one just like this from Macy’s, probably 10 years ago. Since I liked it so much, I decided to buy another one. I was afraid that this could be a counterfeit version, but it smells exactly like the one I have been using. From the pictures, the left one I bought from Amazon, the right one from Macy’s. The one from Amazon was made in Spain, the one from Macy’s in Paris, France.

It had to be a fake. I couldnt find this one in the store, so I ordered it for a xmas gift to my husband because I have alway loved this smell. When he came close to me, I thought he hadnt rinsed the soap off him after showering. He told me, It’s the Paco cologne I had bought him. I was so pissed that this was the sickening smell of soap at the cost of $34 and I wasnt the only one that thought this. I couldnt even give it away. 0 rating

This is an old fashioned classic from yesteryear . I am a middle aged man now, and this is the kind of scent that my late Father would have worm back in the day . I can wear it with confidence, because I am no longer that young guy, but it as a very masculine scent that a more mature woman would appreciate . I doubt that the average 20 something year old would grasp the greatness of Paco Robanne pour homme, because their too busy rocking one million, but give them ten, fifteen years . They’ll totally understand .

I am a 70 year old man and I recall the scent of the original Paco Rabanne… the newer scent is nothing like the original. This scent is not unpleasant but, it doesn’t suit me. I expected something similar to the original but, this is not at all close to the original scent. Like I said, it’s not unplesant but, there are older gentlemen out there (like myself) who expected reasonably familar aroma… this is not it. What I question is the marketing ploy that uses the original name of the cologne but, does not follow with the original scent.

I have no reference whether or not it smells like the ‘original’, as this is the first time trying it, but I love it. I have a moderate sized collection of colognes/aftershaves (all under $ 60, I refuse to spend more) and this is all I’ve been using since I got it.I am absolutely terrible at distinguishing notes and being about to explain them in a way that is useful, but from my limited experience and budget, this is somewhat similar to green Polo, though it’s much lighter and ‘fresher’. I say similar as that’s how I perceive it… it’s not a knockoff or even mostly like Polo, it’s similar. It’s a long lasting scent, lasts most of the day on your skin, lasts until tomorrow on your shirt.

I really enjoy wearing this cologne. It’s extremely versatile and has a very pleasant ‘green’ and ‘fresh’ scent that you can wear in a lot of situations very easily, as well as through nearly every season of the year. I’ve gotten so many more compliments wearing this inexpensive 1970’s classic than I have received wearing much more expensive modern colognes. If you’re looking for a great ‘daily driver’ type of cologne, this is a very solid choice. If you like having a lot of scent options, it’s also great to pick up a bottle at a fairly low price point just to change things up every now and then.
